Community Performance Series

Community Performance Series is a college-community partnership that presents distinctive and renowned performing arts events in Northern New York. CPS has been in residence at SUNY Potsdam since 1989, ensuring enhanced access to performances through three main efforts:

• The Guest Artist Series, now in its 30th year, has brought a rich variety of performing artists to Potsdam.
• In 1995, CPS developed the Meet the Arts series to introduce children and families to the performing arts through school-time programs and family-friendly events.
• CPS provides administrative support to several campus and community performances in an effort to increase public awareness of arts opportunities.

Frederic Remington Art Museum

The Frederic Remington Art Museum expands and deepens appreciation and understanding of Remington’s work by engaging contemporary audiences and keeping his legacy relevant. It is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and contains an unmatched collection of his works.

The Gallery at Lake St. Lawrence Arts

The Gallery is located in the heart of Waddington, NY. It contributes to the local culture of the community and surrounding area with its varied exhibitions of weaving, jewelry, photography, pottery, as well as artists’ renditions of local and Adirondack scenery. It is a cooperative, juried art gallery located just of US Highway 37 on the beautiful St. Lawrence River where passionate artists display and sell their work. Come take or conduct a class, join us at opening receptions for rotating exhibits, book a portrait session with our photographer or just shop our friendly artisan gift shop.
