Nancey Brackett owned a horse farm for thirty-three years in Canton, NY., and upon retiring turned to another passion. Her grandmother was a gifted silversmith and passed on the love of silver, and the desire to be creative. While on the farm, Nancey took some silver work classes, and started to play with bezel setting stones.
After selling the farm, a three-week intensive jewelry class at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico introduced her to the art of channel inlay, and cutting her own stones. She returned to New York and set up My Corner Studio. Nancey has been back to Ghost Ranch for anadvanced course, and spends time in Tucson at a Gem and Lapidary Club learning new techniques. She attends the Tucson International Gem show, largest in the world, each year to buy stones and slabs for inlay.

Nathan is a self-taught potter who began working with clay in 2021. He enjoys throwing on the wheel and focused early on learning to throw larger portions of clay to create bigger forms. While living on Wilson Hill Island in Massena, he founded Seaway Ceramics, inspired by his location on the St. Lawrence River, so that he could begin selling the pots he had made.
Nathan now lives in Brusthon, NY, where he has transformed a former horse barn into a functional pottery studio. In addition to throwing on the wheel, Nathan also enjoys hand-building and plays with sculpture. He makes serving trays, mugs, and vases, which he decorates using weeds plucked from the fields behind his barn. Nathan works primarily with stoneware, which he fires in his electric kiln, but also enjoys experimenting with other clays and firing techniques.
Peter has a long and rich history in pottery making after studying with master potters Vivika and Otto Heino, and earning an MFA from Penn State. In the 1980s he built a 2 chambered wood fired kiln in New Hampshire, as well as teaching at two colleges. In the 1990s he dug local clay out of his backyard in Baltimore to make sculptural work. He now uses Adirondack rock dust as a glaze ingredient in his original glaze recipes.
Robin is the owner/operator of The Third Wheel Pottery Studio, a community studio in Potsdam, offering lessons, open studio time, clay sales, firing services, and hosting private events. She provides a safe, supportive environment for people of all skill levels to come in and get their hands dirty while experiencing the wonders of clay.
Watercolor is my favorite medium. I like the transparency of watercolors and being able to blend colors on the paper. My paintings usually begin with a photograph I’ve taken of flowers or local scenery. I emphasize contrast of color and tone. I’m teaching myself portrait painting.I began painting about fifteen years ago in a SOAR class with Leon LeBeau. I paint at the St Lawrence County arts council, TAUNY and the Sebastian Art club in Florida.

I am a Creatives Rebuild New York 2022-2024 Fellow and am a contemporary visual artist who holds the ancient Eastern philosophy of ‘Chi’, also called Energy, Spirit, and Soul, deep in my heart. ‘Chi’ is the backbone of my work.
Circles are the totems of my recent work because they represent positive energies. All the circles in various phrases and expressions in my work show the intimate echoes of my autobiographical reflections of personal sentiment. To me, the Circle conveys the energy of peace and harmony; by incorporating them with my artistic practice, my goal is to pursue the positive dialogues between my artistic creation and my life.
I have been working with various media such as oil, water base media, and mixed media in two and three dimensions. Oil has been my primary medium, with which I enjoy building textures with two important elements: color and layer effect. I have shown my work in New York City, New York State and abroad.

Steven C Cobb was born, raised, and has lived in the North Country all his life. He paints mostly in acrylics and oils, and creates works that deal with his admiration of nature and the outdoors. The nearby countryside, rivers and mountains of New York's Adirondack Park provide much of his inspiration
A passionate fly fisherman, his depictions of various trout and other fish, are not only from his own creel, but from references graciously supplied to him from anglers around the world. His landscapes and other work often document scenes from the rivers, lakes and countryside he frequents, and portray the isolation and solitude of nature, while at the same time welcoming the viewer into it.
With the onset of the pandemic, and moved by the bleakness of the times, he turned his attention to depicting the remains of old barns throughout the north country. The grayness of the weathered barn-wood led him to simplify his palette to black and white, concentrating strictly on value to capture mood. His foray into black and white continues into other subject matter, but is frequently interrupted with a more colorful palette.
His work has been exhibited throughout New York and Vermont, and has won numerous local awards. He is an active member in the local art community, and belongs to various art organizations in and around the area.
