Your Own Spin Make & Take Class Series with Liza Paige: Yonic Art
February 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$25 – $30
If you’ve ever taken an Art History class, you’re familiar with various phallic symbols throughout time. Have you ever wondered, “where are all the yonic symbols?” Don’t worry, we have plenty of contemporary female artists developing yonic imagery. Perhaps, we can even find a few historical examples that have been overlooked? Look through some art history books and bring an example if you can find one before class!
Per class: $25 for SLC Arts Members, $30 for Non-Members
For the series: $65 for SLC Arts Members, $80 for Non-members
More about the class series:
Liza Paige is a local artist and instructor at North Country Children’s Museum, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Potsdam. She will be holding a series of classes on 3 consecutive Tuesdays in February. Participants can sign up for individual classes, or the entire series. For each class, Liza will hold a brief discussion on the artists, their mediums, and their styles, and the rest of the time is for you to put “your own spin” on the artists’ work. Materials are provided for your creativity to roam, exploring the style of these amazing women. Liza will help guide the participants in their work. The class is open to people of any skill level – beginner to advanced. The recommended age is 14+.
