This seminar for creative professionals is developed to help our arts community begin to think strategically about their work and business. By discussing best practices in a supportive and collaborative environment, each artist is challenged to think critically about the financial and business aspects of their creative work. This seminar will help creative professionals develop systems to help them grow and operate more efficiently as they strive toward their personal, professional, and financial goals.
The Curriculum* During our half day workshop (approx 4 hours including lunch/ breaks), we will address the following principles of business and finance for creative professionals:
- Goal Setting and Importance of Planning Financial Fundamentals
- Savings strategies – Budgeting best practices
- Investment fundamentals (short term and long term) – Debt reduction/ financial management Retirement Planning for Artists Business Planning for Creative Professionals
- Basic Accounting Principles Intro to Tax Planning
- Organizational development and Systems Q&A

Tiffany Soricelli & Virtuoso Advising for Artists
Tiffany Soricelli brings her passion for financial literacy and business acumen to creative professionals through her company, Virtuoso Advising for Artists. As a licensed financial advisor, Tiffany specializes in helping talented, busy, career-oriented individuals get clarity around their finances and create an action-plan to achieving their goals.
The mission of Virtuoso is to bring high-level, expert financial advice to all, enabling everyone to achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals. She has served as a professional resource for OPERA America, Washington National Opera, Seagle Music Colony, The Arts Center of the Capital Region, and other arts institutions, music festivals, and businesses in the northeast.
Prior to her financial training and licensing, Tiffany received her BM and MM from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. She is married to a HS/MS Chorus teacher, Robert Soricelli, and they live in Glenville, New York with their daughter, Juniper and baby-boy-to-be, expected in June 2019!
