Accessible Arts provides an opportunity for music and arts exploration in a supportive and therapeutic group environment. Group members are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities including singing, movement, dancing, playing instruments, creating, painting, and other arts exploration designed to stimulate the senses, encourage creativity and increase socialization. Music and art therapy programs have a long track record for success in building communication skills, increasing confidence, and improving overall well-being among participants.
Meet our Instructor:
TRACY WANAMAKER, MT-BC
Tracy is an Adjunct Instructor at the Crane School of Music where she coordinates the Music in Special Education Program and Crane Music Education Field Experience. Wanamaker is a board-certified music therapist with 20 years of experience working in a wide range of clinical areas including special education, adults with developmental disabilities and gerontology settings. Wanamaker is active as a consultant and clinician for professionals, teachers and parents across the United States, and has presented her research at many local, state, and national conferences including the American Music Therapy Association National Conference and the Mid-Atlantic AMTA Regional Conference.
