This class will cover all of the basics and teach students how to lay out a mixed media art piece, step-by-step. Learn about common materials and how each media within a piece interacts with the others. Students will also develop color palettes, mix acrylic paints, make their own papers, create a collage background, and build a work of art, using imagery and texture, by adding paint, gesso, and papers. Cheryl will discuss which materials work well together and give lots of tips that students can use when creating pieces in the future. Participants will bring home at least one new work of art. Materials included.
